A.J. Mike Freiburg leads the capital raising initiatives at Montecito Medical, as well as strategic capital decisions for MontecitoPLUS. Mike also works as a family office advisor to the owners of Montecito.

Mike has spent almost 20 years in financial services where he worked for large institutions such as Truist and J.P. Morgan. In his previous roles, Mike advised high net worth families, family offices, foundations, and endowments on complex financial situations.

He previously served as Senior Vice President within Wells Fargo’s Corporate Properties Group, directing strategy for more than 40 million square feet across 24 states, and spent 13 years at JLL, ultimately as Senior Vice President and National Director within its Corporate Solutions business.

Former COO of Optum Specialty Practices, CEO of OrthoArizona, COO and CIO of OrthoCarolina (2005-2024); former senior executive with several healthcare services and information technology firms including MED3000, Health 1st Network, SeaView IPA, Heritage Health Systems, United Medical Care, Family HealthCare Associates and Medic Computer Systems (Misys) from (1989-2005). Dr. Mitesh Kothari attended the University of Maryland at College Park from 1987-1991 where he studied Finance. Following graduation, he attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and graduated with his medical degree in 1995. Dr. Kothari then trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland Medical System. After completing his training, he started a solo medical practice in his hometown of Hagerstown, MD. He eventually grew his small practice, which started with only 2 employees, to become one of the largest practices in the country, employing 100 people and 26 medical providers in one location. He was instrumental in the startup of several other Maryland practices during his career. He enjoyed both the clinical and business side of his profession.

He retired from clinical medicine in 2024 and enjoys consulting with organizations on practice efficiencies, growth, and medical real estate. Dr. Kothari has enjoyed giving back to his community and has served on over 20 local non-profit boards, chairing many of them along the way.

Joey Peay has been Chief Executive Officer of Murfreesboro Medical Clinic for the past 22 years. Prior to serving as CEO, he spent 5 years as MMC’s Chief Financial Officer.

Joey graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and passed the Uniform CPA Exam in 1988. He spent the first ten years of his career with KPMG, an international public accounting firm.

Kenneth Persaud, MD, is Chief Executive Officer of Health Precision. Dr. Persaud brings over two decades of physician executive leadership at the intersection of clinical practice and enterprise growth in healthcare companies. He most recently served as President and, before that, Chief Executive Officer of White Wilson Medical Associates, a regional multi-specialty practice serving Florida’s Panhandle, where he led a turnaround to profitability and established the region’s first accountable care model.

Earlier, as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Value-Based Care and Provider Enablement at Sharecare, he led the national go-to-market strategy that converted the company’s revenue base to value-based contracts across 48 states. He founded and led Visualize Health as CEO through its acquisition by Sharecare. Before that, as founding CEO of Precision Healthcare Systems, he grew the company from $22 million to more than $250 million in revenue, culminating in its acquisition by DaVita Medical Group.

Dr. Persaud began his career as a primary care physician. That clinical foundation, combined with two decades of experience building and scaling value-based healthcare businesses, gives him direct insight into the financial and operational pressures healthcare systems face today, the same pressures Medical Brain is built to solve.

Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the division, overseeing financial operations for 26 hospital campuses.

Prior to joining Cross Keys, Jeanne served as Chief Growth Officer for Femwell Group Health, an MSO for over 250 practices, where she was responsible for acquisitions as well as denovo practice growth. Jeanne has also worked as Vice President of Business Development at MEDNAX Health Solutions, where she was responsible for acquiring over 20 physician practices.
